A Conscious Community; Focused on Your Health and Wellness
Thermography (also known as Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI)) is a radiation-free screening tool used to observe cellular health. Our technicians are certified through the Professional Academy of Clinical Thermology (PACT). Medical Thermography is safe at any age and ideal for prevention. Early detection optimizes health, saves money, reduces medical down time and discomfort and ultimately saves lives.
PURPOSE: Thermography has an FDA 510k clearance for possible early detection (and ultimately prevention) of cancer and other diseases. It displays physiological changes in the body that represent disease, such as abnormal vascular activity and inflammation. The equipment offers contact-free (no compression) screening. An infrared camera takes images of your body checking for heat discrepancies. The identification of hot or cold spots in the body informs and encourages further steps for optimal health - either through further diagnostic testing or changes in diet and lifestyle. The goal is to eliminate inflammation and heal your body.
USES: Screenings for breast cancer are the most common scans, however, it is capable of performing a full body scan. You can opt for a breast only (for females) scan, a female or male health profile, or a full body imaging. In addition to breast cancer screening, thermography can be utilized for analysis of other conditions including the following:
Carotid Artery Disease
Carpel Tunnel syndrome
Spinal disc disease
COMPARISONS: Medical Thermography is 97% sensitive for breast cancer screenings, while Mammography is only 83.3% sensitive. Thermography produces an infrared image that shows the patterns of heat and blood flow near the surface of the body. Mammography, MRI and ultrasound tests look at what is showing up in the body (cyst/tumor).
Don’t delay, see where there’s room for improvement in your health today. It is well known that early detection is the best defense against breast cancer and that, if treated in the earliest stages, a 95% cure rate is achieved. The "cure" is early detection.
Our practitioner, Shanna Schulze is a Certified Thermographic Technician and Trainer through the Professional Academy of Clinical Thermology (PACT), a non-profit group for training Thermographers and Thermologists. Shanna is a proud member of Breast Thermography International (BTI) where she started out as their Administrator Director. Noting the high interest level in Florida, she decided to move here and attend to the patient demand in South Florida. Shanna started Southern Florida Medical Thermography and travels to many locations to screen patients. Before becoming a CTT, Shanna worked as an Accounting Manager and Controller in the hospitality industry, where she experienced physical ailments due to stress. After having been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and given prescription medications (which only masked the issues), she searched for a better way. She found thermography and several alternative minded practitioners who taught her about the body’s ability to heal itself and how nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes can be a huge part of being healthy. Some experiences with family members having cancer led her on a mission to improve her own health and her patients’ health through medical thermography.
